Outside Las Vegas - The most ambitious casino and resort project
began today just outside of Las Vegas. Grander Canyon will
be a full scale reproduction of the Grand Canyon, dug out of the
Nevada desert with all the amenities of a Las Vegas luxury hotel. Nearly
277 miles long, over a mile deep and 18 miles wide at its widest
point, Grander Canyon will boast nearly 3,000,000 luxury suites in
the walls of the man-made canyon.
"Projects
such as Bellagio, New York and Paris built smaller versions of the
originals. This is the first time a full scale reproduction
of a National Park as a luxury hotel and casino has been attempted," said
Steve Wynn of Mirage Resorts.
No more worries about inclement weather ruining your summer vacation
at Grander Canyon. With a fully enclosed dome the entire facility
can be enjoyed at a comfortable 70 degrees and at night the dome
will be used for a laser light production entitled "The Beauty
of Nature".
"The days when families took a dangerous donkey ride or hike
to the bottom of the canyon will be long gone. Did you know
that several people are killed each year on such treks! Now
they will be able to take a trip to the bottom of the canyon in our
completely safe, air-conditioned elevator or if they prefer on one
of our robot donkeys," said Wynn.
"It's a long drive out to the real Grand Canyon especially
with screaming kids," said Vegas visitor Jason Ludwig, "When
Grander Canyon is finished, it will be just a short hop from the
world famous Vegas strip.
Grander Canyon will be the largest hotel and casino in the world
only for a short time, until the larger Himalaya! is built using
the dirt excavated from Grander Canyon. Himalaya! will feature
a full scale reproduction of the Himalayan mountain chain complete
with an elevator to Everest. Grander Canyon is scheduled to
be completed in 2078 when the number of visitors in Las Vegas will
reach 198 billion a year by current projections.
