| This is the thread to discuss the BBlog postings, but not the Daily Links (that has its own thread). Thanks for keeping the thread on topic. |

|
|
Now that I have a 1.5 year old daughter, stories about other people's sick kids actually make me tear-up a bit.
My daughter is only 1.5 years old and I've already had to endure the mental anguish of "why can't I just make her feel better" as she suffered through several nights of high fevers and flu/cold.
It's so gut-wrenching.
It was also sad the one night that I was late getting home and Mommy had to put her to bed before Daddy got home. She woke up every 2.25 hours screaming for Daddy that night; I guess just to make sure that I was really still there.
As for Gmail - I'm not sure if I see the benefit in Gmail. I'd love to hear from a few folks who use it. What's so great about it? I have an account, but I have yet to really use it. |

As to Gmail - I use it because I like its interface better than other email's I've had, plus being able to keep track of email conversations easily, as they are grouped together. Also, it seems to be quicker than other emails I have had, and can instantly notify when a new email arrives.
I know some of that is not exactly unique to Gmail, but its enough to keep me using it. |

I'm going to out the house and out of town for most of Saturday. Yet- I'm sure I will still boot up my computer first thing in the morning.
With a 1.5 year old daughter, it's the only way I can use my computer without being at work or showing her YouTube clips of "Cookie Monster." |

I hope you didn't PAY to watch the Pirates of Silicone Valley...
It's one of the few newer titles available from video.Google.com
I have it on my Hard-drive; along with "Time Machine," The Day the Earth Stood Still," "Night of the Living Dead," & a few others. |

I was looking at that NYTimes article, and skimmed it too quickly at first - missed the "(ok, its a parody)" part and thought that the writer was a bit more serious about it for a moment before I looked again and saw that part.
How nice would that have been.. |

I won't let you forget BbSpot's birthday on April 20th if you can remind me that my daughter will turn 2 on April 20th.
Oh - and Happy Birthday Hitler... |

Man she's aging fast. At this rate she'll be 6 years old before the year is out! And asking for the car keys in August 2009.
If all the kids these days are aging that fast, social security's got bigger problems than we thought. _________________ www.vegetablesofthemind.com |

Yeah... I just can't count months...
To me 1.5 is the same as 1.75 or 1.88. As far as I'm concerned, she's been 2 since November.
This is why I need help remembering the birthday. |

The one that had this caption made Diet Coke come out my nose.

Iranian Pistachios are, indeed, the best pistachios I have ever had. They are fricking huge, and very, very tasty. Definitely worth putting the diet on hold! _________________ Hey, look at me
