BBspot Mailbag

Now you too can enjoy my Inbox without the annoying spam. Every week I get some amazing e-mail. Some amazing because of the sheer cluelessness of the sender, some because of the time and energy that went into crafting them and some are just simply amazing.

BBelievers

One of the persistent Esenam Ayele BBelievers is back pestering him in his MySpace account...

OIL PRICES MAKES ALL PRICE HIGHER..
for the man who makes the $$$ from oil, i guess that will become a blessing in disguise..wuahaha

And...

sir, bisides oil, what other bussiness you are interested in?

Why? You wouldn't happen to have a business proposition that needs money do you?

SIR I HAVE SOME PROJECTS AHEAD AND I NEED SOME CASH FOR RUN IT, IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITIES THAT YOU CAN HELP ME?

I was reading this article and having a hard time believing that this press conference really took place. Why would Bill Gates say any of that, and if he did, why am I not reading about it anywhere else?

I’m not trying to be a jerk, I would just love to believe that this is true, so please give me some more reasons to believe it!

All very good questions which is why you shouldn't depend on a single source for your news, unless of course it's BBspot.

Last Monday's story about Microsoft stopping development on IE8 because of Firefox 3 brought in some more BBelievers...

I was slightly skeptical of this article, however i'm not going to say anything until I see something from a more reputable news site

And...

I'm confused...

And...

Mission accomplished, Mozilla!

And...

wait so there isnt a microsoft internet explorer, anymore, or just for a while

It's gone forever!

Here's some responses to my post about an equivalent for the last day of school for adults that I posted in the BBlog and this week's poll about the same issue...

In the Last Day of School Poll, you missed an obvious one for parents... The FIRST day of School... :-)

I don't feel that way, but I'm sure some parents do. And for the final word on the issue. Something that probably surpasses the feeling...

I’ve been stationed in Iraq since August of last year (coincidentally, my kids started school a few weeks later). Now both my kids are on summer break while I’ve had a measly 18 day vacation that felt roughly like a long weekend. I don’t think any child on earth can match the exuberance my regiment will feel come November when we get out of here. Here’s the best part: My unit’s home base is Germany (talk about your vacation party spots). The anticipation here is already thick and growing like a LOTTO jackpot. I definitely feel like a kid waiting on that final school bell.

BTW, your site continues to keep my spirits up and I love when I can pass on one of your links or a “Top 11” to my co-workers. Keep up the good work and can’t wait for the BBook!

2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment

I think this should be the final word on the topic.

Weekly Limerick

The winner of the 2003 and 2006 Geek Limerick contest has volunteered to write a weekly limerick for BBspot. Seth also has a new book out that you should take a look at..

We have lost one of our greatest wits
In George Carlin. Among his big hits,
Seven words that were blunt.
There was: Shit, piss, fuck, cunt,
Cock sucker, mother fucker, and tits.
